jane austen's books that is. our book club just read persuasion but i just could not get through the book. too much verbiage for me. but when i borrowed the dvd from a friend to watch--i sat through the entire thing on pins and needles hoping anne and wentworth would be able to get past all of the societal scrub and tell each other how they feel! i knew that they ended up together and yet still--there i was with tension in my entire frame and crossing my fingers for them! what is it about a movie based on jane austen's novels that makes me such a devoted fan? you name it: emma, pride & prejudice, sense & sensibility, mansfield park and even northanger abby. i would watch them all any given evening and consider it a treat!
now i think it is time i saw the movie becoming jane. i am prepped and ready. just let me get a bucket of popcorn and i am in....anyone else coming with me?
