my boys often play at the kitchen table with the simplest toys. they entertain one another all the time. they are each other's best friends. having a built-in playmate can be a huge blessing. but having a mom who wants to freeze those faces and that moment is not always a welcome thing. i love their faces. when i asked each boy to look at me for just a second i got these lovely eyes and when turned to black and white photos they became some of my very favorites yet.
