new year's eve day. . .
we have new space to roam and play at the cabin! this is the addition my dad has been working on which includes a super huge playroom above a second garage. it turned out great and for lack of a better name we are calling it the "red room". it handles the ping pong table and a full sized couch and chair with so much extra space that my boys held foot races!
for two days straight we sledded on the meadow behind the 4 wheeler tracks. and we had the two snowmobiles out for rides as well. aunt sharon's three-legged dog was most comfortable on the back of her 4 wheeler. these were bumpy rides but super fun! we even got my mom on with one of my boys. i was so impressed she was willing to try!
just a word about my dad. he loves the cabin. he loves the outdoors. he loves to be busy working on something productive. this family cabin he has built for all of us to enjoy will be one of the family treasures for future generations. we love you dad and all your silliness and hard work.

Rod,
Thanks SO MUCH for sending the link to your blog!! I've thoroughly enjoyed checking it out. Lesli, you are quite the artsy, creative and seriously talented blogger!! I LOVE your photos!!! Kudos to you for taking classes and developing that gift. You are such a natural at capturing the essence of the moment. (It almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about, doesn't it?). I think your "Word on the Streets" is SO clever!! You have such a fun, fresh way with words and a real knack for this. Keep it up!!
