sometimes i miss painting as a hobby. so once in a while i take a photo knowing that i will eventually get to it and push its limits just by playing with it. i take the photo liking some part of it initially but knowing that i'm not taking it meaning for it to look great straight out of the camera. in fact, when i see what i want to capture in camera to eventually play with i am usually seeing what it can be after i fiddle with it. so the image in the camera is more like a canvas. then the fun comes later when i push it to be what i saw it could be when i took the image.
this sunset shot is one example. the light just behind the mountains was glorious in person and in camera it was lacking the emotion i felt when i saw it in real life. so just a little before and after to show what i felt when i saw it. i know i pushed it and yet sometimes i just need to push it for the play of it.
I love this!! It is not my desktop picture!! Can you get me the information about the classes you took? i am thinking I would like to get more serious... just like you. Oh so cheesy. :)

hi lesli! i just tried to email you but it said the address was wrong so here is the email i tried to send...
Hey Lesli!
I'd love to share I just really suck at explaining PS! :) But I'll try! Only b/c this is REALLY easy!
To change the size of the shape just select the "move tool (v)" and then if you want to keep it the same ratio, just bigger, hold down the shift key while you drag your mouse. If you want to change the shape like I did with the triplets don't hold the shift and drag one of the other points on the shape or whatever you call those things! :)
In the design they send you, the template, you can just highlight one of the shapes and drag it from the layers menu to a new page if you want to just use one big shape like I did on each page... but to do the back of the book with the longer shape I just made a few of the shapes invisible on the layers palate and changed the shape of one that was still visible.
Does any of that make sense??? I am so sorry! It feels like I'm talking with mud in my mouth b/c I learned all of PS on my own and no one ever taught me so I don't know any of the technical terms!!!
Good luck and if I can help any more just let me know!
