2011 changes & pricing packet request. . .

I've made some changes with Lesli Streets Photography this year.

turning eight. . .

in january my niece turned eight. she is only about 9 months older than my boys! so when we went to do her baptism photo session i kept thinking about how soon it will be that my own children will be infront of my camera for the same reason. i love how her photos turned out. they are so perfect for the winter season in which she was born and is now getting baptized. she's a blizzard, this one and i was glad to have caught some of her soft and sweet side.

for a family night activity we spent some time in the dark creating light faces. each part was done by different people all at once. the mouth is morgan. the eyes are jack and i. the crazy hair is rod. it makes for a fun family laugh together.

just a few more of the fun out at nelson with the egberts. these make me really happy! we even got to connect with a friendly tarantula who wanted in on the family photo session! we were all just glad he didn't jump for joy.

 

pre-thanksgiving day fun. . .

today was so much fun that i could do it again and again if this family would join me! i love this crew of eight. they have fun together and kid each other and were happy to tool around this property in nelson with me for hours! i came home and couldn't help myself to find a funny out-take to post. thank you e family for a fantastic pre-thanksgiving day fun! it was such fun to be with your whole family back together. it sort of felt like we went on a mini-vacation together and i'm digging the ride i got in the eg nest. have a great turkey day. i'm grateful for friends such as yourselves!

holiday mini sessions at calico basin. . .

my saturday of mini sessions at calico basin was such fun! i had wonderful families and the day was complete perfection as far as light goes. with an overcast sky and a balmy temperature we got so much accomplished. i can't wait for the families to see their images. i can't share too much from the day because people will want to use them for christmas cards etc. but i wanted to thank those who came out! i had a great time with you and your families. many thanks.

hannah at eight. . .

i got to spend a few minutes alone with hannah who is turning eight and getting baptized. in the lds church the children do not get baptized until they are eight. it is a big benchmark for the children. hannah was so excited and the happiest little girl! she was radiant in the late afternoon sun as we walked the golf course together finding all kinds of wonderful light. she said at one point that she felt like a bride! in time, hannah, in time but for now you are allowed to think boys are gross! these are some of my very favorite from our time together. the sun and her just seemed to be the best of friends--i love the light in these.

baby laylah. . .

i got to assist erin with a newborn the other day. it was a perfect newborn session! perfectly sleepy and beautiful baby girl with equally stunning parents and a model-looking home! her nursery was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! i loved working with erin. it is fabulous having another photog friend who is close to me who also loves to do newborns! i can't wait for the future newborn sessions together! baby laylah made our job easy and was a dream model. a few of my favorites photos from our time together:

 

baby mia. . .

i got to go help a friend with her newborn shoot yesterday and i couldn't help but take a few shots myself of this beautiful bundle. check out her hair! her mother is israeli and her father is italian. that makes for some mighty stunning looks at only 15 days old! i really do love taking photos of babies in their homes. it is not the posed studio set up that everyone else is striving to achieve. it is more personal having them among their personal comforts. mom and dad's bed is always different from anyone else's and makes this wonderful backdrop of family personality and style but in an understated way. studio props and set up poses are great but there is more of me that just craves the intimacy of documenting baby in his or her new home.
